DESCRIPTION:Sri Lankan New Year Festival 2025 will be held on Saturday\, April 5th\, starting from 12:30 pm onwards at the Doug Lindsay Reserve in Creswick. As per tradition\, we will commence with the formalities of welcoming our guests\, Lighting of the Oil lamp\, Boiling Milk ceremony\, and the Avurudhu Kavili Table. Following these rituals\, many entertaining activities and games will be suitable for all age groups throughout the afternoon. Tea\, coffee\, and soft drinks will be readily available during the event. The festivities will culminate in a delectable dinner accompanied by live music continuing into the night.

DESCRIPTION:As indicated last week\, SLAAB is pleased to announce that our Sri Lankan New Year Festival 2023 will be held on Saturday the 1st of April from 12.30pm onwards at the Doug Lindsay Reserve in Creswick.\n\nAs per usual we will start off with the formalities of welcoming the guests\, Lighting of the Oil lamp\, Boiling Milk followed by the Avurudhu Kavili Table. This will then be followed by loads of fun activities and games for all age groups through the afternoon. Tea\, Coffee and soft drinks will be available throughout the event. We will have a scrumptious dinner served along with live music into the night.\n\nThis will be a ticketed event for members and non-members;\n\nMembers: Adults – $20; Kids aged 8 to 16 – $10 and kids below 8 will be free.\nNon-Members: Adults – $40; Kids aged 8 to 16 – $15 and kids below 8 will be free.\n\n\nSLAAB is a not-for-profit community organisation. All proceeds will be used purely to cover the costs of the event.
